Instrument Hire Terms and ConditionsINSTRUMENT HIRE FEES WILL BE INVOICED TERMLY UNTIL THE INSTRUMENT IS RETURNED.
Invoices will be emailed to you from noreply@eepos.fi. To make your payment open the email and click on the Open Invoice button to display your invoice and then click on the green Pay Now button to make your payment.

Terms and Conditions
- For the purposes of these terms and conditions the parent or guardian of the pupil will be referred to as the customer.
- During the period of hire the instrument remains the property of Milton Keynes City Council (MKCC).
- The customer is responsible for loss or damage to the instrument during the hire period. MK Music Service recommends you insure the instrument. It can usually be added to your household insurance please check with your insurers. Alternatively, specialist companies such as Allianz can arrange insurance.
- The customer will advise MK Music Service immediately of any loss or damage to the instrument and is liable for the cost of repairing or replacing the instrument.
- MK Music Service will provide the instrument and case. Any additional items required during the rental term such as reeds, rosin, strings, slide oil, valve oil, cork grease etc. will be the responsibility of the customer.
- If the customer does not return the instrument prior to the end of term the customer will be invoiced for the next term’s hire fee until the instrument is returned.
- The customer will notify MK Music Service of any changes to the details stated on this Hire Agreement.
- Hire fees will not be refunded in compensation for missed or cancelled ensembles or music lessons.
- If payment is not made within 30 days of the invoice MK Music Service reserves the right to ask the customer to return the instrument.
- MK Music Service reserves the right to increase instrument hire fees and will give written notice of any such increase no later than one full term, prior to the term when the increase in fees is due to take effect.
- Concessions are available for pupils eligible for Pupil Premium or by prior agreement with MK Music Service Manager for exceptional circumstances. The Concession Application form is available on our website.
- This agreement supersedes any prior agreement between MK Music Service and the customer, whether written or oral and any such prior agreements are cancelled at the commencement date of this agreement.
- Security of the instrument: The customer shall keep the instrument in his or her sole possession for the student to use and shall not lend, sublet, sell, use as security against a loan, nor allow the instrument to be seized in satisfaction of debts or for any other legal process. The customer will indemnify MK Music Service against all losses, costs, claims, damage, and expenses howsoever occasioned by any breach of the customer.
- Repairs: The customer shall inform MK Music Service immediately should any damage occur to the instrument requiring the instrument to be repaired; the customer will then be advised accordingly. No repairs may be arranged without the authority of MK Music Service. In the event of any damage to the instrument deemed not to be the result of wear and tear by MK Music Service, the customer will be required to pay the full cost of the repair or replacement value of the instrument.
- Whilst all reasonable efforts will be made to provide a replacement instrument during repairs, this cannot be guaranteed. Any replacement given to the customer will be of a similar (but not necessarily identical) type, which will be held by the customer under these same terms and conditions. Unless MK Music Service agrees, the customer will not be entitled to any refund between the dates of removal and replacement or substitution.
- Termination: The customer shall have the right to terminate this agreement at any point by returning the instrument to MK Music Service. The customer is responsible for returning the instrument and any expense incurred for carriage. Please note you are responsible for the instrument until it is returned to us. Please use a recognised carrier with sufficient packaging if unable to return it in person. You will be issued with a receipt confirming the instrument has been returned. No refund is available.
- MK Music Service reserves the right to terminate this agreement if:
– The Customer has provided any false or misleading information, whether listed above or not; – The Customer/student no longer attends an MK school and you have moved to an address outside our service area;
– MK Music Service determines, at its sole discretion, that the instrument can no longer be effectively serviced, maintained, or hired out;
– In the case of high-value or rare ‘endangered’ instruments (such as the oboe, bassoon, saxophone, French horn, tuba, viola, or double bass), the instrument is required for use in a Music Centre group or activity. - Complaints: Any complaints raised by the customer shall be dealt with in accordance with Milton Keynes City Council’s complaints procedure.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction. This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
